Hey ladies and gents! I hope your 2019 is off to a great start. In this post, I’m going to talk about my absolute favorite lipsticks. I narrowed it down to only 2 (1 high-end and 1 drugstore).

If you’re into the matte lip trend, these choices won’t be for you. Besides looks, I want a lipstick that FEELS good on my lips and is not drying, and unfortunately many of the mattes dry me out. So, I enjoy a good creamy lipstick. These formulas don’t usually have the same staying power as a matte, but they still look pretty and feel great.

So let’s start with my drugstore pick: NYX Cosmetics Butter Lipstick Root Beer Float. Yes, I’m a nude girl. Out of the dozens of lip products I own, I would say that 90% of them are nudes. I play it safe like that. Anyway, these NYX Butter Lipsticks glide on so smoothly and feel amazing. Root Beer Float is a perfect nude for me. I wear it almost every day.

For my high-end pick, I have to go with Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Sheer Liar. Again, this is a cream formula. It’s sheer, but not too sheer. It’s an amazing nude color and feels luxurious. When I’m not wearing my NYX, you can bet I’m probably wearing this. Which reminds me, I need to buy a new one ASAP as I’m running out!
